No. 4 Alabama (8-1, 6-0 SEC) is set for a monster matchup at home this weekend as No. 11 Oklahoma comes to town.

The Sooners (7-2, 3-2 SEC) are still very much alive for the College Football Playoff race and are coming off a bye week after beating Tennessee on the road two weeks ago. It’s been a bounce-back year for Oklahoma and 4th-year head coach Brent Venables, back in national contention after barely making a bowl game last season.

This is another opportunity for revenge for the Crimson Tide, getting a rematch with Oklahoma a year after its playoff hopes were dashed with a crushing 24-3 defeat in Norman. Alabama is 2-0 in revenge games over 2024 losses to this point in this season, beating both Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

Alabama comes into this game squarely in position to go to the SEC championship game next month, and could nearly clinch a trip to Atlanta with a victory. The Crimson Tide could also pick up its fourth win over a team currently ranked in the top-25 by the CFP selection committee this season.
