COLUMBIA, Mo. — Alabama had two players exit its 27-24 win over Missouri on Saturday with injuries. Senior running back Jam Miller left the game in the fourth quarter, while freshman wide receiver Derek Meadows left the game in the first quarter.

Following the game, head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an update on both players.

“Just giving you guys the update on Jam Miller, concussion,” DeBoer said. “Derek (Meadows) got a concussion as well.”

Miller was Alabama’s strongest runner in the game, toting the ball 20 times for 85 yards before his exit. Meadows still hasn’t recorded a catch this season, but the hit that knocked him out of the game occurred on a deep target down the field.

DeBoer also gave an update on the status of sophomore wide receiver Ryan Williams, who was listed as probable to play on the availability report throughout the week and was active in the game.

“Just something that carried over from last week’s game. Earlier in the game last week, took a hit,” DeBoer said. “Just hobbled. He didn’t get to practice as much this week, that’s why he was on the report, which makes it a little harder to get him out there. Especially when you have confidence in the other guys to make plays. I haven’t gotten the report, exactly, how he got through. I know he was out there and did help us. I would expect him to continue to make progress, he’s not that far away.”

Williams played fewer snaps than normal against Missouri and didn’t start the game, redshirt freshman Rico Scott started in his place. He didn’t log a catch in the win, the first time this season he’s played without a touch.
