Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided the latest on some of the Crimson Tide’s injured players during his midweek media availability on the SEC football coaches teleconference.

Alabama is set to welcome back one of its top offensive players against Wisconsin, as receiver Ryan Williams (concussion) missed last week’s win against ULM but is expected to return.

“Ryan Williams, we expect him to play,” DeBoer said on Wednesday.

Outside linebacker Jah-Marien Latham (lower body), running back Jam Miller (collarbone) and defensive tackle Tim Keenan (ankle) did not play last week, and Miller and Keenan have not played in any of Alabama’s first two games. However, Miller went through pregame warmups last weekend. The status of all three injured players is still up in the air for Saturday.

“Jah-Marien Latham and Jam Miller and TK are all gonna be game-time decisions,” DeBoer said. “They’re getting their work in, making some progress. And so not much difference between all three of them, even though they are different injuries.”

Finally, DeBoer was asked about tight end Danny Lewis, who missed the spring with an injury, was limited during preseason practices and has yet to see the field in the first two weeks of the season. It sounds like we will continue to wait for Lewis to see his first action in 2025.

“Danny Lewis will be out this weekend still, but is making progress,” DeBoer said.

Alabama will play host to Wisconsin on Saturday, September 13, at 11 a.m. CT (on ABC).
