The Alabama football team is coming off its first loss of the season following a 41-38 defeat against Texas A&M on Saturday. With Mississippi State next up on the schedule, all the focus will shift towards the Bulldogs.

With that said, we also got word of when the Crimson Tide will kick off its home game against Tennessee on Oct. 23. In fact, the Southeastern Conference revealed its entire schedule for that weekend on Monday.

Check it out.

As you can see, the Crimson Tide will get Game 8 underway at 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. ET) against the Vols. That matchup will be aired on ESPN, and it could end up being a better game than many anticipated coming into the season.

The Vols are currently 4-2, but those two losses were to a good Pitt team and a top-20 Florida squad.

Over the last two weeks, Tennessee has outscored two SEC opponents 107-44. Granted, it was Missouri and South Carolina, but this is clearly a team moving in the right direction.

The Third Saturday in October, which is happening on the fourth Saturday in October, will be the 104th meeting between Alabama and Tennessee, dating back to 1901. The Tide owns a 58-37-8 series advantage, including winning the lack 14 straight.

The last time these two teams met was Oct. 24 of last year. Alabama won that game handedly with a final score of 48-17.
