Three Alabama staffers will reportedly follow JaMarcus Shephard to Oregon State
Alabama wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard was officially hired as the next Oregon State head coach last week, and Shephard is poised to add a few Crimson Tide staffers to his staff.
According to multiple reports, Alabama associate director of player personnel Eron Hodges will be Oregon State’s general manager under Shephard. Analysts Mitch Dahlen and Torrey Gill are also set to be hired as the Beavers’ quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach, respectively. All three earn promotions in their move to Corvallis.
Hodges has spent the last two seasons at Alabama under head coach Kalen DeBoer. He has spent time working in recruiting and player personnel at other Power Four programs like TCU, Louisville, Texas Tech, Purdue and Ohio State. Hodges was at Purdue from 2018-21, where he first worked with Shephard, who served as the Boilermakers’ wide receivers coach.
