Transfer guard Jalil Bethea to make Alabama basketball debut vs. Clemson
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama guard Jalil Bethea will make his debut in a Crimson Tide uniform on Wednesday night as Alabama hosts Clemson at Coleman Coliseum, Yea Alabama announced.
Bethea, a sophomore from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, suffered a foot injury that required surgery back in September. His recovery held him out of the first seven games of Alabama’s season.
The 6-foot-5 guard transferred in from Miami after a disappointing freshman year where he averaged 7.1 points per game on 36.8% shooting from the floor. Bethea was considered one of the best players in his high school class, a McDonald’s All-American and the No. 6 overall player in the 2024 cycle.
