Where Alabama basketball is ranked in AP Poll after loss to Purdue

Alabama basketball dropped its first game of the season in its lone game last week, losing at home to Purdue 87-80 on Thursday night.
The loss caused voters to drop the Crimson Tide slightly in this week’s AP Poll, down from No. 8 to No. 11.

Alabama is one of six ranked SEC teams in this week’s poll and the second-highest ranked team in the conference, coming in behind No. 10 Florida while ahead of No. 12 Kentucky, No. 20 Tennessee, No. 21 Arkansas and No. 22 Auburn.
The Crimson Tide is in the midst of playing four ranked teams in a row, with the next opponent for Nate Oats‘ squad being No. 8 Illinois in Chicago on Wednesday night. Previously it beat No. 14 St. John’s, and its loss to Purdue resulted in the Boilermakers jumping to No. 1 in this week’s poll.
Tipoff between Alabama and Illinois is set for 8 p.m. CT on FS1 this Wednesday.
