Where Alabama is ranked in the polls after win over Wisconsin

Alabama moved to 2-1 on the season over the weekend following a second strong performance in a row, beating Wisconsin at home by a final score of 38-14.

The win helped Kalen DeBoer’s team move up in the polls for the second weekend in a row, with some additional help from losses elsewhere across college football. After being ranked No. 19 by the AP Poll and No. 18 by the Coaches Poll last week, the Crimson Tide rose to No. 14 in both the Coaches and the AP.

Alabama is one of 11 SEC teams ranked this week, behind No. 3 LSU, No. 5 Georgia, No. 8 Texas, No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 13 Ole Miss, while ahead of No. 15 Tennessee, No. 20 Vanderbilt, No. 22 Auburn, No. 23 Missouri.

The Tide’s lone loss came to a currently ranked team in the form of No. 7 Florida State, while ranked games still remain on the schedule against Georgia, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Tennessee, LSU, Oklahoma and Auburn.

Alabama will be on bye next weekend before a road trip to Georgia on Sept. 27. That game is in the primetime kickoff slot, 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
