Where Alabama ranks in the 2025 preseason US LBM Coaches Poll

The preseason US LBM Coaches Poll was released on Monday, and Alabama was at No. 8.

This marks the lowest preseason ranking for the Crimson Tide since 2008, when Alabama was not ranked. Kalen DeBoer was one of 67 head coaches who voted in the preseason poll.

Alabama was one of nine SEC schools to make the preseason poll, and the Crimson Tide will face four of those teams – Georgia, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee – this season.

From USA Today, the Coaches Poll is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of head coaches at FBS schools. The panel is chosen by random draw, conference by conference, plus independents, from a pool of coaches who have indicated to the American Football Coaches Association their willingness to participate. Each coach submits a top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place worth 24, and so on down to one point for 25th.

The Associated Press preseason top 25 will be announced in one week.
