Auburn baseball schedule set for Butch Thompson's seventh season

AUBURN – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson finalized the Tigers 2022 schedule, which consists of 55 regular season games, including 31 to be played at Plainsman Park.

Auburn baseball will take on 11 NCAA Tournament teams from 2021, including six national seeds, eight super regional participants, and three College World Series teams, including the two that played each other in the championship series.

After opening the season against Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Kansas State at the 2022 State Farm College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas from Feb. 18-20, Auburn plays 16 of its next 17 games on the Plains, staring with the home opener against Troy Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The Tigers’ weekend non-conference slate includes three-game series against Yale (Feb. 25-27), Rhode Island (Mar. 4-6) and Middle Tennessee (Mar. 11-13).

Additionally, Auburn baseball will host six home midweek games and travel for six midweek contests, including a pair of neutral site matchups against Tennessee Tech (Mar. 8) at Toyota Field in Huntsville, Alabama, and against South Alabama (Mar 22) at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama. Auburn will also play UAB (Apr. 5) at Regions Field and Samford (May 17) at Hoover Met.

Auburn baseball opens its SEC schedule by hosting Ole Miss from Mar. 17-19 and will also welcome Vanderbilt (Apr. 8-10), South Carolina (Apr. 22-24), Arkansas (May 6-8) and Alabama (May 13-15) to Plainsman Park in league play.

The team’s conference road schedule includes trips to Texas A&M (Mar. 25-27), LSU (Mar. 31-Apr. 2), Mississippi State (Apr. 14-16), Tennessee (Apr. 29-May 1) and Kentucky (May 19-21).

The 2022 SEC Baseball Tournament will again be played at Hoover Met from May. 24-29.

Two season ticket options for the 2022 season are on sale now. Tigers Unlimited season tickets are $335 per seat location and are renewable from year-to-year, allowing fans to build priority in gaining access to some of the best seats inside Plainsman Park. Public season tickets are $215 per seat location and are non-renewable from year-to-year.
