Auburn ranked for first time in four years

Auburn football earned its first AP top-25 ranking in four years Sunday.
The Tigers are No. 24 in the latest poll.
It’s the first time Auburn is ranked in an AP poll since Week 11 of the 2021 season. Auburn dropped out of the rankings following a 43-34 home loss to unranked Mississippi State that week and had been on the outside of the poll ever since.
SEC with 11 teams ranked
Eleven SEC teams found themselves ranked in the AP top-25 following Week 2 of the college football season. LSU is the top-ranked team from the conference at No. 3, followed by Georgia (No. 6), Texas (No. 7), South Carolina (No. 11), Oklahoma (No. 13), Tennessee (No. 15), Texas A&M (No. 16), Ole Miss (No. 17), Alabama (No. 19) and Missouri (No. 25)
Auburn’s future schedule
With two games down, Auburn will face five ranked teams for out of the remaining 10 games.
Auburn opens its conference slate with four straight games against teams ranked in this week’s AP poll. Road games against No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 16 Texas A&M kickoff SEC play, followed by a bye week and then a home game against No. 6 Georgia.
