Ja'Kobi Albert announcing commitment Wednesday

Ja’Kobi Albert is ready to announce his commitment.
Albert, a defensive back from Fairfield (Ala.), will make his decision known Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT.
“I’m ready,” Albert said. “I know where I want to go.”
Albert will choose between Auburn, Michigan and Maryland. He took an official visit to each of his three finalists in June.
“They are all great schools,” Albert said.
Auburn’s Chances
Auburn in the past 10 days has received commitments from four-star running back Damari Alston and in-state defensive lineman Caden Story.
Can the Tigers keep the momentum going with a commitment from Albert?
It certainly appears so.
Albert took an official visit to Auburn June 18-20. He then returned July 25 for an unofficial visit to Auburn’s Big Cat recruiting event. He’s become familiar with the campus and with the coaches.

Albert has developed a strong bond with Auburn defensive coordinator/safeties coach Derek Mason, as well as coach Bryan Harsin. Albert is very high on Mason and the vision the coach has for Albert in the Tigers’ defense.
Auburn also has proximity to home working in its favor.
What (I Think) Will Happen
Prediction: Albert will commit to Auburn.
Confidence Level: High
Buzz: Although Albert has a final three of Auburn, Michigan and Maryland, this is more of an Auburn-Michigan battle and has been since June. Michigan certainly gave Albert plenty to consider, but in the end he will stay home and choose Auburn.
