THE BRAIN DRAIN: Auburn v South Alabama
It’s once again time for our favorite moment of the week: Auburn takes the field.
Today’s opponent is South Alabama, a 1-1 ball club from the great municipality of Mobile, Ala.
We began live streaming games during the 2018 season and the five-hour shows, which feature call-ins from Bunker personalities, attracted a small-but-rabid following. We then grinded through the COVID-19 drama with weekly shows while in lockdown just in time to witness four consecutive losing seasons.
Womp womp.
With several strong recruiting classes now under his belt, Hugh Freeze finally is fielding a team with legitimate play-makers on both sides of the ball. The win at Baylor showed us that this team can manage adversity. The win against Ball State showed us that the Tigers’ depth can be a weapon as the season unfolds.
Now we get South Alabama, a solid team from a solid conference.
