VIDEO: Hugh Freeze Press Conference (Baylor)
It’s game week — and Hugh Freeze is getting excited.
The Auburn coach said Monday that he likes the way his team has been preparing of late for its trip to Baylor later this week. Though he seems satisfied and good with Jackson Arnold as his No. 1 quarterback, Freeze said there has been serious competition at several other positions.
He loves that competition. He thinks his team, specifically his defense, will be strengthened by its depth this season.
Freeze also offered a somewhat troubling assessment of kicker Alex McPherson. They will take on the field before the Baylor game Friday to decide what duties, if any, McPherson will be able to handle.
