GAINESVILLE, Fla. — SEC Media Days is only a few months away and Thursday the Southeastern Conference League office released the complete schedule for the event. This year the SEC will hold its annual media day in Dallas, Texas, as the league will formally introduce two new member institutions in Texas and Oklahoma.

The Florida Gators will share the day with one of those new teams as Billy Napier and several Florida players are scheduled to make the media rounds on Wednesday, July 17.

This will be the first time for the event to be held in Dallas and the fourth different location for the SEC’s premier media event in four years. Nashville, Atlanta and Birmingham have served as hosts the last three years.

A more detailed daily schedule with full television information, rotational breakdown and student-athletes attending will be available prior to the event in early July.

Each school brings three student-athletes with them to the event. Napier has stated in the past that he views the trip as a reward for older players on his roster. Last year, the Gators brought wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, offensive lineman Kingsley Eguakun and cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. In his first season, Napier brought quarterback Anthony Richardson, offensive lineman Richard Gouraige, and senior linebacker Ventrell Miller.

The Gators did not announce which players would be making the trip to Dallas with Napier this summer. However, given the history of bringing veteran players, it would be safe to assume senior quarterback Graham Mertz would make the trip to represent the Gators. Senior linebacker Derek Wingo and senior running back Montrell Johnson could also be safe assumptions. Florida will reveal which players they will bring to SEC Media Days closer to the event.

Below is the full schedule. Names are listed alphabetically by school for each day, not by order of appearance. A more detailed daily schedule with full television information, rotational breakdown and student-athletes attending will be released by the SEC prior to the event in early July.
