Florida Gators QB commit Will Griffin invited to Elite 11 Finals

The Florida Gators will be represented at the 2025 Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles later this summer. Tampa (FL) Jesuit 4-star quarterback Will Griffin is the latest signal caller added to the roster for the elite event. Several of the Nation’s top quarterbacks will be on hand for the event, which runs from June 17-19.
It was announced on Tuesday that the 6-foot-2 1/2, 225-pounder is the 13th QB to pick up an invite. The Florida Gators commit showcased his skills at the Elite 11 Tampa regional earlier this spring.
Will Griffin had a strong spring game performance
Will Griffin and his Jesuit teammates wrapped up the spring football season with a win over Lakeland in the team’s spring game last weekend. Jesuit came out on top against last year’s state finalist, 30-17. In the win, Griffin completed 23 of 37 passes for 300 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He also added 45 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Ahead of Griffin’s final year of high school football, he’s wanted to improve in a few areas.
“Individually, something I’ve been working on is a lot of mobility and flexibility,” Griffin told Gators Online’s Corey Bender earlier this month. “More off-platform throws because that’s what is going to be expected at the next level, too. Those kinds of throws can determine the difference between converting on third and long or on fourth down.”
Another All-Star event for Will Griffin
The Elite 11 is a huge accomplishment for Florida commit Will Griffin. He will have a chance to compete against fellow quarterbacks in his class. This type of setting won’t be anything new to Griffin. He took part in the 2025 Under Armour All-America game this past January. It was the first year that juniors could compete in the game against the departing senior class. Griffin went 11 of 22 passing, for 82 yards in the game, and enjoyed the opportunity to compete against other top recruits.
“I’m very fortunate to have that experience because it showed me how fast the game is played in college,” said Griffin. “They are so fast and want to get after you, and you have to know what to do before that ball is snapped, then pre-snap reads, so you have to get the ball out of your hand quick because those guys are coming.

The recruiting cap has been on for several months
Will Griffin has been vocal about being solid to the Florida Gators since committing last June. Ever since he joined the class, Griffin has been in the ear of several top targets. His official visit to Florida will be the weekend of June 13, but Griffin will likely be in The Swamp on other visit weekends to help recruit targets to join him in the class.
“I feel like we have a really good shot with (G’Nivre) Carr, the offensive lineman from IMG Academy. Him, and also Kaiden Prothro. He’s a big-time recruit, but I like him a lot. We’ve built a strong relationship.
“Then there’s (Auburn commit) Hezekiah Harris. I think we have a great shot there, too. Brock (Kolojay) is another guy. He’s highly recruited, and we’ve gotten close. Naeem (Burroughs) is at Clemson, but we’ve got a great relationship as well.”
The On3 Industry, a weighted average of the four major recruiting services, ranks Will Griffin as the nation’s No. 257 Overall player.
