After winning the 2024-2025 National Championship in men’s basketball, the Florida Gators received their championship rings this week. The team had several close games during March Madness and even some come-from-behind victories. The Gators saved their best comeback victory for the championship game, winning stunningly late against the Houston Cougars. Florida finished this past season with a 36-4 record, for the second-best record, by win percentage, in school history, while finishing second in an all-time edition of the SEC with a 14-4 record in conference play.

A look at the Florida Gators’ Championship ring

The returning Florida Gators from last year’s team to the current team received their National Championship rings on Wednesday. The following day, the Gators showed off their new jewelry with a post on the men’s basketball Instagram page. It gives fans a closer look at the ring, and the post also includes some interesting details that were constructed into the custom rings.

You can also slide through the different views of the ring below.

The front face of the ring features a stone-flooded basketball, along with the words ‘National Champions’ spelled out in diamonds. The NCAA basketball trophy is also at the center of the ring’s face. Furthermore, there are 12 stones on the trophy, which is a tribute to the 12-point deficit the Gators overcame to secure their victory against Houston. The face of the ring also opens up, and inside of it, you can immediately see the retro Fightin’ Gator logo in gold, which is laid over the top of Florida’s home stadium, the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

Also inside the ring are thirty-six stones that line the interior of the ring top in the shape of the Gators’ arena to commemorate the 36 season wins. The Florida Gators’ NCAA Tournament games and scores are also inside the ring. Additionally, six orange stones celebrate the Gators’ six Final Four appearances in program history, and three blue stones represent Florida’s three national titles.

Florida hand-delivered rings to former players from that squad

The Florida Gators coaching staff was also able to include some of their former players, who are now in the NBA, with their championship hardware. Todd Golden was included in the UF staff to deliver the rings, as he drove to Orlando to give former Gators guard Will Richard his ring when Golden State played against the Magic. He wasn’t the only player to have a coach drop in, though.

“We were able to coordinate getting the rings to the guys that graduated last year on, whatever, Tuesday,” Florida Gators head coach Todd Golden said on Thursday. “Really efficient for us that Will (Richard) was in Orlando. Made that easier. Taurean (Green) was able to get to Greensboro to see Alijah (Martin), and Corey went out to LA to see find Walt (Clayton). Getting those guys the experience in front of their teams was really, really cool.”
