Florida Gators unveil 2023 baseball schedule
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators 2023 baseball schedule is set. Wednesday the full slate of games was released for Kevin O’Sullivan’s ballclub.
In total, Florida’s 2023 slate is composed of 55 games and 36 home contests at Condron Family Ballpark – Ballpark Digest‘s 2021 College Ballpark of the Year. Most notably, 20 of the Gators’ first 22 games take place at home.
The 2023 schedule features 24 games against 10 different 2022 NCAA Tournament teams. Four of those teams advanced to NCAA Super Regionals while three reached the College World Series.
The 55-game schedule will begin on February 17 against Charleston Southern. Florida will then hit the road for a home-and-home with South Florida in the midweek before hosting Cincinnati. The Gators will host Miami from March 3-5 for their annual weekend rivalry series with the Canes.
Florida and Florida State will continue their Sunshine Series with three midweek games. Florida will travel to FSU on March 21. One week later the two teams will meet in Jacksonville on March 28. The Gators will host the Noles on April 11.
Conference play begins at home on March 17 as the Gators play host to Auburn. The Gators will also host Alabama, Missouri, Georgia, and Vanderbilt in 2023. Florida’s SEC road trips are to Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Texas A&M.
Florida will start fall practice on October 9. Florida will play a scrimmage game against Georgia in Jacksonville on October 28. They will also host Stetson for a scrimmage at Condron Ballpark on Saturday, November 5.
