Friday injury report: Florida defensive lineman now listed as 'out'

The Florida Gators issued an updated availability report on Friday night, along with LSU. It’s the third of four injury reports that will be released before the Gators (1-1) face the No. 3 Tigers (2-0) on Saturday at 7 p.m. on ABC.
There was another change to Friday’s injury report for the Florida Gators. After being listed as questionable in Thursday’s injury report, Gators defensive lineman Michai Boireau is now listed as being out for UF’s road contest against the Tigers.
While Boireau is a blow in the trenches, the biggest note of the Florida Gators’ injury report this week remains the absence of UF defensive lineman Caleb Banks, who still seems on track to play Saturday against LSU. He missed the first two games but has practiced this week, Florida coach Billy Napier revealed this week.
“Caleb Banks is a force. One of the best defensive linemen in the country,” Napier said. “I think we’ll see where he’s at. He’s been able to practice this week; it’s been a good week. And then [Thursday], Friday, game day. So, I feel good about him.”
With Boireau downgraded to out for the SEC opener, the Florida Gators now have 7 players under that classification. Another notable name listed as out is freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson. The former top recruit has yet to appear in a game this season for the Orange and Blue due to an injury suffered in fall camp.
LSU has one player out in defensive tackle Zion Williams. The Tigers now have one player listed as doubtful: tight end Trey’Dez Green. The Tigers’ tight end was previously listed as questionable on the Thursday injury report. Wide receiver Destyn Hill and offensive lineman Braelin Moore remain listed as probable. That was the case on Thursday night.

Moore, LSU’s starting center, went down with a lower-body injury on the first play from scrimmage against Louisiana Tech, while Green suffered a right MCL sprain in the fourth quarter. Moore was looking better as the week went on.
“I think we have him listed as probable. If not, I’ll double-check. Maybe he’s questionable, but he did practice yesterday, and we expect him to practice today,” LSU coach Brian Kelly said of Moore on Wednesday.
