The Florida Gators football team arrived in Sin City on Tuesday for their Las Vegas Bowl matchup against No. 14 Oregon State.

Saturday marks UF’s first meeting with the Beavers and the Gators’ first time playing in Vegas. It will be their farthest game from The Swamp in 33 years.

“I’m very excited,” Florida outside linebacker Antwaun Ryland-Powell Jr. said. “I’ve never been to Vegas, so I can’t wait I want to see how that is. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a good experience, so I’m looking forward to it.”

The two teams convened Tuesday at the Virgin Hotels for an interview and photo opportunity, including posing with the Las Vegas Bowl Championship Trophy.

The Gators will practice for the next two days along with a charity event on Thursday morning, a player show that night and a kickoff media-conference on Friday.

And at some point, of course, the players will explore the Las Vegas Strip.

“I can’t wait to see Big Des out there,” said Florida cornerback Jaydon Hill.

Kickoff is set for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
