Gators DB target CJ Bronaugh de-commits from Nebraska

One of the Florida Gators’ top defensive targets is back on the market. Four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh of Windermere (Fla.) has de-committed from Nebraska, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Bronaugh, listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, is the No. 14 corner and No. 106 overall recruit nationally for the On3 Industry Rankings. Bronaugh had been committed to the Cornhuskers since last November.
Adding intrigue to this development is that Bronaugh made a surprise visit to Florida on Tuesday, per Corey Bender of Gators Online.
Bronaugh officially visited the Gators the weekend of May 30. Afterward, he talked up UF.
“It was a good visit,” Bronaugh told Blake Alderman of Gators Online. “I learn something new every time. I loved talking with the coaches. The personal time with Coach Napier was good, too. I loved talking with him.”
Before that official visit, Bronaugh already had made two unofficial visits to Gainesville this year. But the official visit gave him a much deeper look at some of the things the Florida program has to offer away from the field.

“I liked how they talked more about GatorMade and what it is,” Bronaugh said. “Also discussing the nutrition side of things and how that works.”
Florida head coach Billy Napier and cornerbacks coach Deron Wilson both spent a substantial amount of time around Bronough on the visit.
“It was good being around (Wilson).” CJ Bronaugh said. “I like him as a coach and a person. He has good energy. Talking with Coach Wilson is always funny. He is a good guy. Talking with Coach Napier as well. He gives off so much good energy. He was telling me so much about the Gator community and how I would fit in well.”
