A preferred walk-on player for the Gators is leaving the program.

Keenan Landry, a redshirt freshman defensive lineman, is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, he announced on Sunday. His statement is below.

“I would like to thank coach Napier and coach Spencer for giving me the opportunity to play at the University of Florida. The relationships and memories I have built with my brothers will be something I always cherish. I have entered my name into the transfer portal.”

A native of Jennings, Louisiana, Landry arrived in Gainesville as a preferred walk-on after spending his freshman season at Mississippi Gulf Community College. This October, he was placed on scholarship for the fall semester along with wide receiver Taylor Spierto.

During his two seasons at Florida, Landry appeared in three games but did not record any stats.

How Gators fans can track transfer portal activity

While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.

If you find yourself asking, ‘How can I track transfer portal activity?’ our well-established network of reporters and contacts across college athletics keeps you up to speed in several ways, from articles written about players as they enter and exit the transfer portal or find their new destination, to our social media channels, to the On3 Transfer Portal.

The transfer portal wire provides a real-time feed of player activity. It includes basic player profile information, transfer portal ranking and original On3 Industry recruiting ranking, as well as NIL valuation (name, image and likeness).

The On3 Transfer Portal Instagram account and Twitter account are excellent resources to stay up to date with the latest moves.
