Three games into the 2025 season, the Florida Gators sit at 1-2. On the positive side, they still have 19 commitments and the No. 13 recruiting class in the Rivals team rankings. Fourteen of those players are 4-star prospects. What’s the latest in UF football recruiting? Corey Bender and Keith Niebuhr of Gators Online tackle a range of topics, provide the latest intel and offer analysis of UF in this edition Gators Recruiting Talk.

A breakdown of Florida Gators recruiting

Here are today’s show topics:

*Corey gives an update on the general vibe of the UF commits in the wake of Florida’s rough start on the field. For the most part, they continue to say all the right things.

*Corey and Keith discuss which UF commits are the ones to watch at this time and which schools they continue to communicate with. Two of note mentioned were 4-star running back Carsyn Baker and 4-star tight end Heze Kent. FSU is a school to track potentially with Baker.

*Current Florida-Miami recruiting battles.

*Implications of the Gators-Canes game for Florida, Coach Billy Napier and UF recruiting. Corey and Keith think the tone from recruits might change if the Gators lose, not just because of what Florida’s record would be but because of how hot Napier’s seat would get. Both agreed, if Florida doesn’t win this game, things probably will take a turn for the worse in terms of recruiting.

*Which UF recruits are doing well this season on the field? The crew highlighted four of them, one being quarterback commit Will Griffin, who has more than 10,000 passing yards in high school.
