Gators Recruiting Talk: Week 1 intel and a Week 2 preview
With Game 1 of the 2025 season now in the books, the Florida Gators have 19 commitments and the No. 13 recruiting class in the Rivals team rankings. Fourteen of those players are 4-star prospects. What’s the latest in UF football recruiting? Corey Bender and Keith Niebuhr of Gators Online tackle a range of topics, provide the latest intel and offer analysis of UF in this edition Gators Recruiting Talk.
Here are today’s show topics:
—Last week, Corey met up with 4-star running back Tranard Roberts of The Villages Charter School (Fla.). He appears to be a top Gators target in the 2027 recruiting class. Roberts has ties to Gainesville and Corey shares the latest developments in his recruitment.
—Multiple Florida commitments attended the Florida Gators’ 55-0 win over LIU last Saturday and we share how solid we think each of them is to Billy Napier’s program.
—Florida made a strong first impression on FAU defensive line commit Frederic Sainteus, who was in The Swamp last weekend. The in-state defender committed to FAU in late June, and the Owls were his first offer. However, more offers came last month from Florida, Houston, Miami, Michigan State and Syracuse. Following his visit to UF, he said he’ll return to Gainesville this fall for an official.
