Mark your calendars, the Florida Gators have set a date for homecoming. Florida will host the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 8 for its annual Homecoming Game. The kickoff time for the game has not been announced.

The Gators own a 70-26-2 record in Homecoming games all-time, including a 28-5 mark since 1989. Florida beat Vanderbilt last year 42-0 on Homecoming. The last time the Gators hosted Missouri on Homecoming was in 2018. The Tigers won that matchup 38-17.

The Gators and Tigers have played 11 times with Missouri holding a 6-5 advantage in the series. Missouri won the 2021 matchup, which proved to be Dan Mullen’s final game as head coach of the Gators. Florida holds a 3-2 record over Missouri at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The UF tradition was first celebrated in 1916 and it continues to bring Gator Nation back to Gainesville year after year. The festivities will kick off during the days leading up to Homecoming with various events taking place across campus.

The Gators will kick off the season with a huge matchup against the reigning Pac-12 Champions. The game with Utah marks the first of a home-and-home series with the Utes for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. The only previous meeting between Florida and Utah was in 1977, with the Gators claiming a 38-29 win in Gainesville in that contest.
