Florida Gators receiver Ricky Pearsall is turning heads in Alabama. During practices this week for Saturday’s Reese’s Senior Bowl at Hancock Whitney Stadium, the Gators standout has impressed on many levels. And with coaches, executives and scouts from every NFL team there to watch, his timing couldn’t be any better.

Here’s a sampling of what people have said about Pearsall this week:

-“It’s no secret that the Tennessee Titans need to target a wide receiver (no pun intended) in the 2024 NFL Draft. There are plenty of quality candidates who could make an immediate impact upon arrival in Nashville. One name on the rise at the Senior Bowl is Florida’s Ricky Pearsall.

Before this week, Pearsall was considered a Day 3 prospect — someone likely to be selected in rounds 4-7 of the NFL Draft.

ut after a few practices at the Senior Bowl, it sounds like the former Gator is already on the rise. He might be a player for Titans general manager Ran Carthon and coach Brian Callahan to keep an eye on when the draft rolls around in late April.” — SI.COM

-“Pearsall is an intriguing wideout prospect who has made himself among the top best-performer talks throughout Senior Bowl week. The 6-foot-1, 193lb Gator product is a versatile receiving option that can be utilized from either the slot or out wide. Pearsall’s diverse route-running ability has been on full display this week, torching defending DBs left and right in both 1-on-1 and team periods.

Going into the week as a Day 3 (rounds 4-7) grade due to his expected average athletic testing come NFL Combine time, Pearsall has proved in a short time that lack of talent will not be the case for any potential fall in draft selection.” — THE BLUE STABLE

Could Ricky Pearsall be a star in the NFL?

-“The last two years for Florida have been very subpar, to say the least. There weren’t many bright spots you could point to, but Ricky Pearsall would turn out to be that light. With his silky smooth route running skills along with strong hands, he certainly showed why he deserved some recognition. He’s not the fastest guy by any means, but all he does is get open.

Some pundits are even comparing him to Cooper Kupp, which is a solid evaluation, in my opinion.” — MIKE FARRELL SPORTS

-“Quick and fast and has been impressive as a route runner. He has been really able to separate. You see it with double moves when you watch his tape at Florida. They can also just get the ball in his hands and let him run with it after the catch.” — NFL Network analyst and draft expert Daniel Jeremiah
