Warchant 1-on-1: Florida State Baseball coach Link Jarrett on Mike Martin, offseason overhaul
Like every college coach in this era, Florida State baseball head coach Link Jarrett is carefully navigating through an unprecedented “talent acquisition” minefield.
In addition to the traditional baseball challenge of losing both high school signees and third-year/JUCO players to the MLB Draft, Jarrett now has to contend with NIL and unlimited transfers.
In a one-on-one interview with Warchant’s Jeff Cameron, the Seminoles’ second-year head coach goes in-depth on how he builds a roster in modern times. Jarrett also speaks on the loss of legendary head coach Mike Martin, his overhauled defensive approach and new pitching staff.
Florida State baseball will take to Mike Martin Field and begin its season on Friday, Feb. 16 against Butler (5 p.m. ET, ACC Network Extra).
