While the NCAA’s spring window has closed for new transfer portal entries, the portal is still wide open when it comes to finding players to add to existing rosters.

And the Florida State football staff is very much in the middle of that process, identifying players who could fill out the final remaining vacancies on the Seminoles’ 85-man roster.

The top area of need, of course, is at safety, where Florida State has just three scholarship players remaining who played that position in the spring. But what other positions are next on the Seminoles’ radar for transfer portal additions?

We’ve got the latest on that, along with names of several potential transfer candidates. Former UAB safety Jaylen Key, who is scheduled to take an official visit to Florida State this weekend, is likely at the top of the list, but there are others as well.

Track Florida State transfer portal activity

While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.

If you find yourself asking, ‘How can I track transfer portal activity?’ our well-established network of reporters and contacts across college athletics keeps you up to speed in several ways, from articles written about players as they enter and exit the transfer portal or find their new destination, to our social media channels, to the On3 Transfer Portal.

The transfer portal wire provides a real-time feed of player activity, including basic player profile information, transfer portal ranking and original On3 Consensus recruiting ranking, as well as NIL valuation (name, image and likeness).

The On3 Transfer Portal Instagram account and senior national college football reporter Matt Zenitz’s Twitter account are excellent resources to stay up to date with the latest moves from other schools.
