4-star DL Carter Luckie officially signs with Georgia
Norcross (Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Carter Luckie has made a long-time dream official. The four-star defensive lineman signed with Georgia on Wednesday.
Playing for Georgia has been a family tradition for the Luckie family. His older brother, Lawson Luckie, is a tight end on Georgia’s team currently.
His father, Mike and uncles Miles and Dustin were also all Georgia football players. The youngest Luckie joined the Bulldogs’ 2026 class back on May 31.
Luckie was offered by Georgia early in the process. He took a long list of visits to Athens. He wanted to take his time. Luckie wanted to end up at Georgia for his own reasons and not simply because Georgia is the family school.

Luckie wanted to find his own path to Athens.
“Obviously, it’s always been there,” Luckie told DawgsHQ last year. “We’ve got Georgia stuff hanging up all around the house. It’s my parents’ favorite school. That’s not my main thing. I don’t care about that. I’m not super-bought into the legacy. I want to make my own legacy.”
The developmental part of Georgia also eventually sold Luckie.
“Georgia is Georgia,” Luckie said in 2024. “I’d be an idiot not to see what Georgia is football-wise. It’s one of the best programs that you can go to. Even with my brother out of the equation, it’s still one of my top places just because it’s close to home and you’d be an idiot not to see what they can do on the field.”
Luckie is one of six defensive line prospects committed to the Bulldogs in the 2026 class.
