4-star RB Jae Lamar officially lands with Georgia on signing day
Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star Jae Lamar has signed with Georgia on Wednesday. The early signing period opens today and the No. 206 overall prospect in the 2026 Rivals Industry Rankings has jumped into Georgia’s class.
Lamar committed to Georgia back on June 25. The Bulldogs beat out Auburn, Miami, Clemson and others for the Colquitt County star.
Lamar kept in contact with a few schools but shut things down late in November. Georgia was a dream school for the four-star running back. Lamar showed a great deal of emotion on his commitment day.
The Bulldogs jump on him hard made him feel welcomed. That connected with Lamar during his recruitment.

“If we were to be honest, I don’t see any school taking me from the University of Georgia,” Lamar said back on Sept. 3. “I feel like they have been honest with me. They were one of the first teams to talk to me before I even hopped on the field. I felt like that’s real and genuine. I mean, you don’t find too many teams, I mean, especially the University of Georgia, they come to your school and offer you haven’t played not one down.”
“It felt like a fairy tale at one point in my life,” Lamar added on Sept. 3. “I just feel like it was the best fit for me. It was the best fit for me to set my family up for generational wealth and it’s not even just, it’s not even about that. It’s a 30-year decision, like Coach Smart always says. It’s not even really a 30-year decision; it’s a life decision.”
Lamar is Georgia’s lone running back commit at the moment.
