It’s the last day of June and what a month it has been for the Georgia Bulldogs. They landed an impressive, if not eye-popping, 14 commitments in the month. The most recent run saw UGA land seven commitments in seven days.

That was one commitment, every day, spanning from last Sunday, June 22 through Saturday, June 28. The Bulldogs’ class jumped several spots in the On3 Industry team rankings, all the way to No. 2.

It started with Georgia flipping four-star inside linebacker Shadarius Toodle from Auburn. That was the first domino. Then the Bulldogs reeled in local four-star prospect Khamari Brooks the following day. They beat out Alabama for the talented EDGE.

Next up with Valdosta defensive end Corey Howard, who chose Georgia over Florida. He was the lone three-star prospect who committed during the week-long run. Colquitt County running back Jae Lamar chose Georiga over Clemson and Miami on Wednesday, making it three straight days with a Peach State commitment.

Cambridge wideout Craig Dandridge kept the commitment and state of Georgia streaks alive on Thursday. He chose UGA over the likes of Oklahoma and Georgia Tech. Then the Bulldogs went out of state for the last two commitments of the week.

Georgia beat out Texas and Michigan for North Shore (Houston, Texas) cornerback Chace Calicut. The Bulldogs sold the 6-foot-3 defender on development an culture. Last, but certainly not least, was four-star defensive lineman James Johnson (Northwestern; Cape Coral, Fla.) Texas, Miami, and Florida all made big runs at the nation’s No. 1 defensive lineman per the On300, but Georgia held on to the lead that it grabbed this spring.

What’s next? What about the state of Georgia football in the summer? DawgsHQ is taking questions from its members and we’re providing some scoop on demand. The latest Ask Rusty Chat is linked for you below, along with some sample questions and answers.

***ASK RUSTY: June 30, 2025***

SteppeNomad: Thoughts on (Valdin) Sone, and how many more DL Georgia can/will take?

RM: That is a battle right now. He is back in Europe for the next month, so we will see what we continue to hear with him. I think UGA would like to add a few more at least 2 in this class.. Need a big DT to me.

JBaze15: With all of the additions in the DB room with an added bonus with Calicut, how do things stand with Tyriq Green and his decision?

RM: They would love to add him.. Kirby has been involved there for a while. They think he is Javon Bullard.
