Commitment Day Primer: 4-star DL PJ Dean ready to decide

Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth four-star defensive lineman PJ Dean is set to make his decision. The No. 45 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Rankings will choose between Georgia, Ohio State and South Carolina on Monday.
Dean took official visits to all three schools. He made his way to South Carolina first (May 30), Georgia on June 6 and Ohio State on June 13.
Dean’s older brother, Jared Wilson, played center for the Bulldogs before making the jump to the NFL this spring. Dean was heavily recruited by Stacy Searels as an offensive lineman for much of his recruitment.
Dean made the switch to the defensive line full-time. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine now favors Georgia. The Bulldogs have a 70.8 percent chance of landing the four-star defensive lineman, according to RPM.
The what, where and who of PJ Dean’s commitment announcement?

Time: 3:30 p.m. EST
What has he said about Georgia?
Notable Quote: “It’s definitely true (what Georgia says about development), as long as my brother has been there, they’ve been putting guys in the NFL,” Dean said. “He got there in 2021 and they’ve been putting guys in the NFL every year on the offensive line and defensive line.”

The Big Picture
Georgia has landed four defensive linemen in the 2026 class so far. Four-stars James Johnson and Carter Luckie are committed. The duo of Corey Howard and junior college transfer Seven Cloud is also committed to the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs needed an infusion of talent in the defensive line room in Athens. The Bulldogs lost stars in the last few years and even more have gone on to the NFL.
Dean could also be a pivotal fit at the five and three technique long term in Athens. Georgia loves to deploy a wave of players in a deep rotation. Adding Dean to the four already committed further adds to the depth.
