Commitment Day Primer: 4-star DL Preston Carey set to decide

East Northport (N.Y.) IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman Preston Carey has come to his decision day. The four-star defensive lineman will choose between Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Rutgers.
Carey took his official visit to Georgia back on May 16. He also visited Auburn on June 6, Florida on June 6, and Rutgers on June 13.
The Bulldogs have been a key player in Carey’s recruitment. The Bulldogs offered Carey back in middle school. At the moment, the local program has the advantage.
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Rutgers according to RPM. The Scarlett Knights have a 24.9 percent chance of landing the four-star defensive lineman, according to RPM.

The Big Picture
Georgia is looking for defensive linemen. Carey is a big, athletic one. Georgia has four defensive linemen committed at the moment. Four-stars James Johnson and Carter Luckie are committed. The duo of Corey Howard and junior college transfer Seven Cloud is also committed to the Bulldogs.
Carey could add depth and size to Georgia’s defensive rotation over the next few years.
