Commitment Day Primer: 4-star EDGE Khamari Brooks to decide

Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee four-star edge Khamari Brooks has been a key target for Georgia for almost a year now. The No. 104 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Rankings will announce his decision on Monday.
Brooks is down to Alabama and Georgia. He has taken official visits to both schools. Brooks has been heavily recruited by Christian Robinson, whose father, Ken Robinson, was once a defensive coordinator at North Oconee. Robinson is also a former Bulldog. Alabama was one of the first SEC programs to get in on Brooks.
Georgia has sent a full-court press at Brooks. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann and outside linebacker coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe (twice) have been on campus at North Oconee watching and meeting Brooks.
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently favors Georgia. The Bulldogs have a 62.7 percent chance of landing the four-star EDGE, according to RPM.

He has a love of the sport. That makes watching Georgia attractive for Brooks.
“I love the game of football, so being able to go up there and watch a place where I’m trying to get to and just watch how they work and see how they go with their practices is good,” Brooks told DawgsHQ back on April 16. “It’s just a great vibe to me that I’m able to put that into my game on a high school level and just be able to dominate throughout the season.”
He also values the relationships he has at Georgia. The Bulldogs have made Brooks a major priority.
“Ever since I got the offer, they never really stopped recruiting,” Brooks said. “Those are the two schools. Between Coach Robinson and Coach Diribe, those are the two coaches who really recruit me the hardest and really show that they want me to come and play for their schools. and really be a part of their position group. They just see my skills, and not even just my skills, but who I am as a person. My leadership skills, having those qualities, they’re better to come here and be a leader in that group. Those are just the two schools that are really recruiting me the hardest.”
The Big Picture
Georgia is in need of key contributors and depth at the edge position. The long list of names that have made their way to the NFL early has left holes.
Georgia has recruited blue chippers to replace those stars of yesteryear. They have to continue that. Brooks is the next in line. Georgia could see contributions from freshmen, Isaiah Gibson, Darren Ikinnagbon and Chase Linton this year and next year.
Landing Brooks would immediately add to the rotation.
