Georgia has a couple of cracks at reaching dynasty status over the next two seasons. After winning back to back National Championships in 2021 and 2022, the Bulldogs fell short of a three-peat in 2023 but three titles in four or five years would place Kirby Smart’s program in some rare air.

The UGA faithful have to love their odds in 2024. Georgia is going to be viewed by many as the top team in the country and very few, if any, prognosticators are going to have the Bulldogs outside of the top two or three.

The roster Smart has built in Athens is a big reason why. According to the analytics-based website Pro Football Focus, Georgia has five players among the top 10 at each position. Four of those players are on the offensive side of the ball.

It starts with Carson Beck, who ranks as the No. 1 quarterback according to PFF. His return is a huge reason why Georgia is going to be considered as one of the top teams in the country for the coming season. He fell just short of 4,000 yards passing in his first season as a starter and would have been the second UGA quarterback to ever reach that mark if he didn’t sit out the entire second half of the Bulldogs’ beatdown of Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

One of his brand-new weapons, Ben Yurosek, comes in at No. 4 amongst the tight ends. Yurosek has spent the past four seasons at Stanford. He redshirted in 2020 but has racked up well over 1,500 yards receiving over the past three seasons and that’s including the 2023 campaign where he missed significant time with injury.

Georgia has a pair of interior offensive linemen on PFF’s list. It ranks Tate Ratledge as at No. 2 and Dylan Fairchild at No. 9. Ratledge is in his fifth season at Georgia and his third as a starter. Fairchild ppeared in 14 games last season, including the first 10 starts of his college career.

There’s just one Bulldog on the defensive side of the ball. That guy is Malaki Starks and he ranks as the nation’s No. 2 safety. Starks is entering his third season as a starter at Georgia. He has 29 starts over the past two seasons and was limited this spring after shoulder surgery in the winter.
