The On3 Impact 300 list ranks the best played in College Football and is set to come out in full in the near future. However, to build things up to the full release, On3 has revealed the top 10 players at two different positions – tight end and offensive tackle – so far, and the Georgia Bulldogs are well represented.

Brock Bowers leads things off for the tight ends at No. 1 after setting a single-season record for most receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end with 56 catches for 882 yards and 13 touchdowns. Bowers was named SEC Freshman of the Year, won the Freshman of the Year Award from the Football Writers Association and took home numerous All-American honors his efforts. Bowers missed spring with a torn labrum, but there is little concern that the injury could limit him in 2022.

Not many schools can say they have a single tight end on this list. Only one can say that they have multiple with as Arik Gilbert and Darnell Washington round out an astounding trio listed. Gilbert, listed at No. 4, did not play last season as he dealt with issues off the field but is back for 2022. However, he was back with the Bulldogs this spring and looked just as good after his absence as he did before when he was named co-winner of SEC Freshman of the Year. Gilbert hauled in a trio of passes during the G-Day spring scrimmage including two touchdowns. As for Washington, No. 6 on the list, the 6-foot-7 freak of nature missed spring with an injury but is still expected to have a strong junior season. He took steps forward as a sophomore, finishing with 10 catches – more than the season before – for 154 yards and his first collegiate touchdown.

Meanwhile, on the offensive line, Broderick Jones is listed at the No. 8 impact offensive tackle in College Football as he takes over in a full-time starting role. Jones made four starts at left tackle in 2021 when Jamaree Salyer was sidelined at the end of the regular season and also twice answered when his name was called mid-game. Against Auburn, Salyer went down with and injury and Jones played over half of the ranked road matchup while in the National Championship, Salyer moved inside to guard and Jones entered to play left tackle. He was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team as a redshirt for his efforts and is expected to take over as Georgia’s left tackle with Salyer off to the NFL.
