Georgia Football Injury Report: One Bulldog now questionable for Alabama in SEC Championship
The latest SEC availability report still shows that Georgia has six players out for the matchup vs. Alabama in the SEC Championship game. The newest report, however, also lists junior safety Zion Branch as “questionable.”
The former USC Trojan has played in 10 games this season with 22 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass breakup. He saw extensive action in the second half of Georgia’s win over Florida when KJ Bolden was ejected for targeting.
On Wednesday we learned that Alabama will be without at least one key player when it takes on Georgia in the SEC Championship game. According to Thursday’s SEC availability report, the Crimson Tide will be a little more shorthanded.
Senior defensive lineman LT Overton is out for the contest, information that was available on Wednesday. According to Thursday’s report, Kelby Collins, who plays EDGE, was also listed as out.
Overton had a key tackle for loss on a 4th and 1 rushing attempt from Georgia in the first matchup, one that kept the score at 24-21 in favor of Alabama when the Bulldogs were deep in Crimson Tide territory.
Overton is a veteran leader for the Crimson Tide. He has 35 tackles on the year with six tackles for loss and four sacks. He ranks No. 2 on the team in both sacks and tackles for loss.

Alabama will also be without defensive back Kameron Howard, linebacker Jah-Marien Latham, defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., running back Kevin Riley, offensive lineman Mal Waldrep, and defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman.
A quartet of Bama players are questionable for the game. Starting running back and leading rusher Jam Miller falls in that category after suffering what appeared to be a lower leg injury against Auburn. Offensive lineman Kam Dewberry and tight ends Josh Cuevas and Danny Lewis Jr. are also questionable.
Georgia will be without, fourth-year junior center Drew Bobo, senior wideout Colbie Young (lower leg), redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Jordan Hall (knee), and redshirt sophomore safety Kyron Jones (foot). Each of those players have missed multiple games with their injuries. Freshman running back Bo Walker (facial fracture) and freshman tight end Ethan Barbour (ankle) are also out for the Bulldogs.
Young hasn’t played since the Bulldogs’ third offensive snap against Ole Miss after coming into that game as the team’s leading receiver. Hall went down early in Georgia’s win over Florida a little over a month ago and will miss the rest of the 2025 season. Jones was hurt in practice leading up to the win over Ole Miss and hasn’t yet returned despite getting in some practice time.
