Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth four-star defensive lineman PJ Dean has made the call for Georgia in his recruitment. The No. 45 overall prospect in the On3 Rankings has announced his commitment to Georgia.

Dean is Georgia’s 25th commit in the class of 2026. The Bulldogs have landed nine commitments in the last two weeks.

Dean has been on Georgia’s a lot in his life. His brother is former Georgia center Jared Wilson. Dean made the trip down from Clemmons to Athens to watch his brother play in games and visit Georgia for his own recruitment. Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels had done much of the heavy lifting in Dean’s recruitment.

Dean has seen Georgia’s proof of concept when it comes to Georgia’s development.

“It’s definetly true (what Georgia says about development), as long as my brother has been there, they’ve been putting guys in the NFL,” Dean said back on Oct. 24, 2024. “He got there in 2021 and they’ve been putting guys in the NFL every year on the offensive line and defensive line.”

Dean talked with Georgia about his transition to focusing on the defensive line. He and Tray Scott started building a relationship from that moment in the winter.

“We have about me and coach Scott and coach (Kirby) Smart,” Dean told DawgsHQ back on April 7. “We’ve all sat down and talked about it. A couple of other schools taught me about it, too. My main top two schools have been talking to me about it. I’ve been taking it a little more seriously now.”

PJ Dean adds to strong 2026 class

Dean is Georgia’s fourth defensive line commit in the class of 2026. Georgia added four-star James Johnson to the fold on Saturday. Four-star Carter Luckie is also committed. Three-star Corey Howard and junior college transfer Seven Cloud have also announced their intentions to play for Georgia in college.
