The first ever Rivals300 is live and the updates—combining the On300 and Rivals rankings—have allowed Georgia to surge barely ahead of USC for the nation’s top class. The Bulldogs went from .007 behind the Trojans to .002 ahead due to the adjustments. Each team lost a four-star prospect in the process.

Georgia now has two five-star prospects and 20 players with a four-star rating. USC now has one five-star prospect and 19 four-star prospects. UGA has 29 overall commitments compared to the Trojans’ 31.

The Bulldogs had a few big risers in the new On300. One of those was Cartersville wide receiver Brady Marchese, who came into the day outside of the top 300 prospects. He’s now ranked No. 166 overall which pushes his industry ranking, which takes into account all three websites that publish recruiting rankings, to 197 overall. Cambridge wideout Craig Dandridge is all the way up to No. 76 overall.

Buford offensive lineman Graham Houston, one of Georgia’s many late-spring/summer commitments, is now in the top 200 at No. 176. Georgia now has nine commitments inside the top 100 per the Rivals300. It has 14 players ranked inside the top 200.

Notre Dame is currently in the No. 3 spot with Texas A&M staying in the top five at No. 4. Alabama, with its quartet of five-star commitments, is ranked at No. 5.

Charles Power on Georgia’s big risers at wideout

Power on Dandridge: “The more and more we look at him, the more and more we like him. He is very skilled, a guy who can get open at all levels of the field. He had a great junior season. Very productive. I think he was over 25 yards a catch as a junior, put up good track numbers, I believe he’s running in the 10.8 this spring. He’s a guy who kind of dominates every setting he’s in, you know, had really good spring ball for his high school. He dominated in seven-on-sevens with his high school team as well. He’s a guy who can get open. Darndridge has good ball skills. He’s a plus route runner.

Power on Marchese: “He can attack multiple levels of the field. He’s got good ball skills and can track the football. He’s a load to bring down for the catch. You’re really good junior season. And I think it makes sense why he became a coveted prospect, you know, this summer with teams trying to flip him and Georgia having to work to keep him in the fold because I think he’s a guy when you really dig in to Brady Marchese kind of what he brings to the table, there’s there’s a lot to like and he’s you know, he’s a you know, a talented receiver.”
