Georgia was unable to scratch anything across in that inning either. The eighth inning was another of opportunity for the Bulldogs. The score remained the same.

The ninth inning saw a quick opportunity sprout on an Adams’ triple. The Bulldogs got him in on a Nolan McCarthy single.

Georgia closed the night 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Georgia is facing elimination on Sunday

The season does not end Saturday night for Georgia.

Things get a little more complicated for the Bulldogs, who are the host team and the No. 7 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bulldogs now need a win over Oklahoma State tomorrow to stay alive. That game will begin at Foley Field at noon. If Georgia should win, they’d then have to face Duke again in the night game, slated for 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs defeated Binghamton on Friday, 20-4. Oklahoma State eliminated Binghamton on Saturday.
