Kickoff, television now known for Georgia vs. Texas on November 15

The showdown between Georgia and Texas on November 15 will take place under the Sanford Stadium lights. Sources tell DawgsHQ that the Bulldogs and Longhorns will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. It is UGA’s second night game of the 2025 season.
Last season was Texas’ first in the SEC. It featured two matchups between the Bulldogs and Longhorns with the former winning both. Those two games were the most watched games in the sport for the season.
Georgia traveled to Austin in October. It jumped out to a 23-0 lead despite a pair of interceptions from Carson Beck in the first half. UGA forced and recovered two fumbles and Trevor Etienne rushed for two touchdowns in the first 30 minutes of that contest. The Bulldogs piled up seven total sacks and 10 tackles for loss in the game.
After Texas scored 15 unanswered points, one coming off Beck’s third interception, Georgia put the game away with an 11-play 89-yard drive that ended with Etienne’s third touchdown with just over 12 minutes left to play. The Bulldog defense took care of the rest to hand Texas its first SEC loss as a member of the conference.
The second matchup, which was the most watched game of the season, took place in the 2024 SEC Championship game. That one was a defensive struggle with the Longhorns kicking a pair of field goals, one in the first quarter and another in the second, to take a 6-0 lead. Georgia cut the lead to 6-3 before the half. On the final play of the first half, Beck sustained a ulnar collateral injury that sidelined him for the rest of the year, pressing Gunner Stockton into action.

On his first drive of the game, Stockton led the Bulldogs on a 10-play 75-yard touchdown drive with Etienne punching it in from 10 yards out to give Georgia a 10-6 lead. UGA added a field goal to make it 13-6 but Texas first touchdown of the game came early in the fourth quarter to tie it at 13.
Georgia kicked a field goal to take the lead with four and a half minutes left, but Texas evened it up with 18 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. The Longhorns settled for a field goal in the first overtime period while Georgia got another touchdown from Etienne to grab the walk-off win.
Prior to last season’s meeting, the two met in the 2019 Sugar Bowl. Texas won that game 28-21 behind three touchdown runs from Sam Ehlinger.
The Longhorns are 7-2 on the year and enjoying their second bye week of the season. Georgia is 7-1 and will play Mississippi State on Saturday with kickoff set for 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.
