The week that was for the Georgia Bulldogs

If you’re a fan of Georgia recruiting, last week will be a week you likely will not forget anytime soon or perhaps ever. Georgia landed seven high profile recruits in seven straight days, putting together a run that has them soaring in the industry team rankings and in the headlines across the country when it comes landing talent. It’s safe to say Kirby Smart and company have captured a great deal of momentum on the heels of a massive week. We look back on the early part of the week to kick things off, but then, we turn to the latter…

What happened after Jae Lamar?

We joined you last after Georgia landed the commitment of standout running back Jae Lamar, but safe to say, things were just getting started there. The Dawgs went on to land wide receiver Craig Dandridge on Thursday, and the Cambridge standout ultimately made himself undeniable to Georgia coaches with his continued improvement at each and every turn. In the end, Dandridge may well have ascended to the top spot on the board for the Bulldogs. Friday, also, held good news, with the Bulldogs securing the pledge of star cornerback Chace Calicut, and that was no small deal for a number of reasons. A long, impressive defensive back with a physicality to his game, Calicut picked Georgia over Texas and Michigan, giving Donte Williams another strong win for the cycle. Saturday capped it all off, with the Bulldogs closing out the stretch by landing On3’s top-rated defensive lineman, James Johnson. In what was another win over the Longhorns, as well as the Miami Hurricanes, Tray Scott proved he’s still got the chops when it comes to defensive line. In fact, the Bulldogs answered many questions regarding their ability to recruit, if there were any lingering in the minds in the NIL era.
