Macon County delivered the incomparable Roquan Smith to Georgia, but since then it’s been a bit quiet around prospects from Montezuma. That changed on Saturday, with the Dawgs adding the commitment of three-star running back Noah Parker.

A three-star prospect in the Class of 2027, Parker ranks as the nation’s No. 547 overall prospect and No. 47 overall running back in the Rivals300 for the cycle. He is the 63rd prospect in the Peach State for the class, as well, per the same metric.

At 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, Parker had been eyeing the Dawgs since adding an offer on June 1. He chose Georgia over the likes of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Florida State.

“The communication with me has been great, just speaking with coach (Josh) Crawford weekly,” Parker told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson in late October. “It’s been great, the relationship that we’ve built since the summer is like, just great, man, and recruitment just been great with them…Just knowing that he’s from down south, I know [Georgia running backs coach Josh Crawford] knows what it takes to play down here. It is harder to play down here than it is up north. You have to really grind for what you want down here. He knows that from a cultural standpoint.”

The junior running back brings exceptional escapability to the running back spot, as well as the burst and breakaway speed that the position demands. Parker also flashes big play ability with some frequency on film, turning average plays into game changing scores and gains.

Noah Parker is the fifth commitment of the Class of 2027 for Georgia, joining cornerback Donte Wright, offensive linemen Kelsey Adams and Kyson Mallard, and wide receiver Gavin Honore. Prior to Parker’s pledge, the class ranked as the nation’s No. 9 overall in the Rivals Team Industry Rankings.
