WATCH: Highlights of new Georgia DL commit Carter Luckie

In case you missed it on Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs added their eleventh commitment of the Class of 2026 to the fold in the form of in-state Norcross defensive lineman Carter Luckie.
The nation’s No. 307 overall prospect per the On3 Industry Ranking, the 6-foot-5, 270 pound defender is the brother of Georgia rising star at tight end, Lawson Luckie, and the son of former Georgia player Mike Luckie, so the ties couldn’t be much stronger.
But there was more to the draw than just those deep family connections.
“Georgia is Georgia,” Luckie said. “I’d be an idiot to not see what Georgia is football-wise. It’s one of the best programs that you can go to. Even with my brother out of the equation, it’s still one of my top places just because it’s close to home and you’d be an idiot not to see what they can do on the field.”
Luckie becomes Georgia’s second defensive line commit of the Class of 2026, joining junior college standout Seven Cloud.

But what of his on-field performance?
In Luckie, Tray Scott’s room adds a long frame with power to spare and a consistent disruptor in the backfield with downhill speed. Additionally, he’s showcasing that while playing against some of the state’s top competition as a part of the storied Norcross Blue Devils program.

Carter Luckie committed during his official visit, a weekend filled with other in-state standouts such as five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro, standout EDGE Khamari Brooks, and Colquitt running back Jae Lamar, who’s seeing the likes of Clemson and Auburn press.
