Georgia commits on the rise…

There wasn’t a ton of room for Georgia’s top-rated commit in the On300 to go, but Ellis Robinson still managed to make up some ground in the latest update. The nation’s top cornerback is up a single spot for the cycle, sitting at No. 3 now. Could a fantastic season have him challenging for the top spot? He’s close enough that it’s at least worth thinking about.

One of Georgia’s most recent commits, defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye had a nice climb this go-round, jumping up fourteen spots to No. 24 from No. 38. That likely puts him in the mix for a fifth star if the cycle ended today, and he still has time to go. No doubt the Bulldogs are thrilled to have him in the mix.

While he may be hard to hold onto, linebacker Demarcus Riddick is still a Georgia commit as of today, and the Dawgs will keep fighting for the standout defender. He just saw his ranking rise, as well, coming up three spots to No. 33 in the latest iteration.

Cornerback Demello Jones is still being chased by several top teams, but he’s shown no real signs of wavering with the Bulldogs. That’s good news, as he continues to see his stock climb in the eyes of evaluators. It’s clear he impressed in the most recent opportunities, with a jump of 48 spots and climbing into the top 100 at No. 80. Previously at No. 128 overall, he’s a key piece of Fran Brown’s position group this year.

Chauncey Bowens just earned his invite to the Adidas All-American Game, and it’s clear our guys saw more they liked from him, as well. Now checking in at No. 89 from a previous No. 92, Bowens has recently been emphatic in the strength of his commitment, something Dell McGee has to be smiling about.

Another defensive lineman on the rise, big Jordan Thomas was a big addition during Georgia’s summer run, and he’s on the rise now at No. 104, up from No. 117. The New Jersey standout should pair quite nicely with Jonah-Ajonye to keep the trenches stacked for years to come.

Safety Peyton Woodyard was on the summer camp circuit, and he certainly caught some eyes and made a nice jump as a result. Woodyard checks in at No. 186 now from a previous No. 226. The California-based defensive back has been active on the visit trail this summer, but he’s still locked in with the Dawgs for the time being. Look for them to continue to work to make sure that’s the case in the end.

The biggest riser of the entire Georgia class? It’s probably not the name you’d have guessed. Offensive lineman Marcus Harrison went from outside the top 300 to up to No. 201 and is now a four-star for On3. The big-bodied offensive tackle continues to see Wisconsin push, but there’s been little to suggest the Dawgs have anything to worry about.

Lastly among the risers, wide receiver Ni’Tareon ‘Nitro’ Tuggle continues to be a guy to know for this cycle with a steady climb continuing in the eyes of the On300. Tuggle, now at IMG Academy, took a big leap of 59 spots this go-round, up to No. 227 from a previous No. 286. Can a senior year among the nation’s best push him even further? Don’t write that off.

Holding Steady

Two Georgia commits stayed exactly the same in this update, but that’s good news, as they were both well thought of before. Jaden Reddell holds onto his spot at the top tight end in the On300 and stays at No. 22. Meanwhile, defensive lineman Justin Greene keeps hold of the No. 129 spot for the Class of 2024.

A lot to love about both of those guys.

Georgia commits sliding…

It wasn’t all sunshine for the Dawgs, however.

Quarterback Dylan Raiola saw a slight drop of four spots, coming in at No. 11 from No. 7. Fellow signal caller Ryan Puglisi also took a small dip, going from No. 104 to No. 119 in this update.

Elsewhere, running back Dwight Phillips checks in at No. 112 from No. 86, safety Jaylen Heyward is down to No. 122 from No. 54, and wideout Ny Carr also slipped a bit to No. 141 from No. 119.

A few of Georgia’s recent offensive line commits also took a hit, with Nyier Daniels now at No. 124 from No. 122. Michael Uini saw a slight tumble to No. 154 from No. 148. Meanwhile, both Marques Easley and Daniel Calhoun fell outside of the On300, from No. 251 and No. 278 respectively.

Major Georgia targets make leaps

Some of the top names still left on the Georgia recruiting board saw their stock rise, giving the Dawgs the opportunity to continue to bolster their No. 1 overall ranking.

There’s a new No. 1 player in the country per On3, with Williams Nwaneri in the spot now. Georgia’s in a dogfight with Oklahoma there but has made up serious ground over this summer.

Longtime target KJ Bolden went up just a bit to No. 9 from No. 10. He’s set to decide in early August, and Georgia is battling Ohio State for the nation’s top safety.

A couple of new On3 five-stars were minted in this update, and both are names to know for Georgia fans. Linebacker Justin Williams, who’s trending to the Dawgs in a major way, is now No. 14 overall from No. 25. Running back Nate Frazier also took a climb into the rare air to No. 15 from No. 31.

Kam Mikell is up slightly to No. 53 from No. 56, in what’s gotten to be a bit of a quiet recruitment of late.

Lastly, in one of the most impressive jumps of the cycle, linebacker Chris Cole comes flying into the On300 from being previously unranked. He now checks in at No. 51 overall.
