The Indiana basketball program has extended a scholarship offer to top-30 center in the 2027 class, Darius Wabbington.

Wabbington, at 6-foot-10, is the No. 2 center in the 2027 class and the No. 23 overall player in the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Wabbington plays for Sunnyslope (Az.) High School and the Arizona Unity AAU program on the Nike EYBL circuit. He averaged 13.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks a game this summer and put up 10.8 points, 7.0 rebounds at Peach Jam this week.

Indiana coaches Darian DeVries, Kenny Johnson were at Peach Jam starting on Thursday and Rod Clark joined that duo on Friday and was there all Saturday with Kenny Johnson.

As sophomore for Sunnyslope, Wabbington averaged 13.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.

He currently holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Louisville, Maryland, Texas, Purdue, Cal, LSU, Villanova, Washington and others.

Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw wrote this about Wabbington at the USA Basketball mini camp this spring.

“Wabbington has a strong frame and what popped for him is the shooting touch. He knocked down multiple spot shots from varying levels of the floor. Overall athleticism will be a question, but he is a strong traffic rebounder when he gets his hands on the ball.”
