Assembly Ball begins 2025 TBT run on Saturday afternoon

The 2025 TBT got underway on Friday night and on Saturday team Assembly Ball takes the court for its first shot at the winner-take-all $1 million prize.
This will be the second year that the Indiana alumni team will compete in The Basketball Tournament (TBT). Last year Assembly Ball lost in the Round of 16.
Much of the same group will be back this year, which is made up of numerous former Indiana basketball players. The group is led by Yogi Ferrell, but also returns Juwan Morgan, Troy Williams, Miller Kopp, Race Thompson, Noah Vonleh and Jordan Hulls — all of whom were on the team last year.
Notable additions this year include James Blackmon Jr and Al Durham.
Also returning for Assembly Ball is Julian Gamble — a former Miami grad who fully embraced the Indiana fan base last year during his run with Assembly Ball.

“Incredible. I think we got here around six, it was all red in the gym. I almost forgot we were at Butler,” Gamble said of the Indiana fans. “To be an hour away (from Bloomington) and to have all of these fans come out and support these guys and hearing the noise when you’re running out of the tunnel — it kinda does give you that college feeling again. Even as a non-IU guy, I’m happy for them. I can only imagine what that feeling is to play back in front of your fans and feel like you’re back at home.”
Assembly Ball takes on Fail Harder on Saturday afternoon inside Hinkle Fieldhouse at 4:00 pm ET. Fail Harder is a team organized by Kyle Guy.
Fans can watch the game on FS1.
If Assembly Ball wins, it has the potential to take on the Butler alumni team, All Good Dawgs, which will take place on Monday night.
