Indiana football has fought some health issues over the past few weeks and with that, the availability report was released ahead of the Hoosiers road matchup vs Penn State.

All-American linebacker Aiden Fisher, who sat out the final three quarters of Indiana’s win over UCLA and in the win vs Maryland, looks to be good to go. Indiana football wide receiver Elijah Sarratt, who missed most of last week’s game vs Maryland, is listed as a ‘game-time decision.’

“We’ll know more on everyone as the week progresses. We didn’t really come out of that game with anything that we would call significant, just the bumps and bruises that can occur during the course of a 12-game season,” Curt Cignetti said in Monday’s presser. “Aiden Fisher we thought made really good progress toward the end of last week. Wasn’t quite ready to go. Very optimistic on him.

“Elijah, we’ll know more day-to-day. He’s been dealing with something the last two weeks but has been able to play. Had a little tweak of something else early in the game, and we got him out for precautionary reasons.”

It was confirmed that starting left guard Drew Evans will remain out this week vs Penn State, as well. Evans has played 534 snaps this season, which is tied for first on the offense, and has graded out as Indiana’s second-best run-blocker, according to Pro Football Focus.

A season ago, Evans had his 2024 season cut short due to an achilles injury during practice in the lead up to Indiana’s Week 11 clash with Michigan. It’s unclear what is keeping Evans out of this weekend’s showdown with the Terrapins.

Joining Evans as out for the game are Brendan Franke and Kaiden Turner.

Also listed on Indiana’s availability report ahead of Saturday’s road contest was safety Bryson Bonds, running back Lee Beebe and defensive end Kellan Wyatt, all who are out for the season. Bonds, who suffered a knee injury in the Week 1 win over the Monarchs, Beebe, who suffered a “non-contact knee injury” earlier in the season against Indiana State, and Wyatt who exited Indiana’s win over Michigan State with an injury, will all miss the rest of the season due to their respective injures.

There were no other Hoosiers listed on this week’s availability report.
