Davidson transfer forward Reed Bailey commits to Indiana

Indiana basketball has added one of the top-ranked forwards in the transfer portal. Davidson transfer Reed Bailey announced his commitment to the Hoosiers on Sunday.
The 6-foot-10 forward is ranked the No. 23 overall player in the portal, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
RELATED Indiana Basketball Player Scouting Report: Reed Bailey
A former three-star recruit, Bailey started all 33 games for Davidson this past season and posted a career year. He averaged 18.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 47.7% from the field.
Bailey scored in double figures in all but three games in 2024–25. The Harvard, Massachusetts, native topped 20 points four times, including two 30-point performances in mid-January.
He also showed significant growth as a perimeter threat this year. After shooting just 25.8% from 3-point range over his first two college seasons, Bailey hit 41.5% from deep this season on 1.2 attempts per game.
Though he made just 17 3-pointers, his career 76.8% free-throw percentage suggests his junior-year shooting may be more indicative of his long-term potential from long range.
