Indiana football continued its impressive start to the 2025 season with a 38–13 win over Michigan State on homecoming weekend. The Hoosiers battled through some early-week complacency before once again finding their rhythm behind another near-flawless performance from quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Now 7–0, No. 3 Indiana turns its focus to one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten. UCLA makes the cross-country trip to Bloomington riding a three-game winning streak — all in conference play. Indiana is 1–0 all-time against UCLA, with the first and only meeting coming last season at the Rose Bowl. The Hoosiers won that matchup 42–13. It’s been a whirlwind start to 2025 for the Bruins. After an 0–3 start, UCLA fired second-year head coach DeShaun Foster and offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri, a former Indiana quarterbacks coach. Interim head coach Tim Skipper, a longtime college assistant, has steadied the program. The 47-year-old has guided the Bruins to a 3–1 mark since taking over, including wins over Penn State, at Michigan State and against Maryland.
